Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian singer and actress. Her roles on American television shows like Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her lead character. She also appeared in movies such as RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and independent films Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The latter was also written and directed by her. Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton. John Hennessy, her father was a meat-salesman, as well as a marketing/sales executive. His work required a lot of travel, which resulted in many changes for the family. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mother and secretary, died in 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener (Ontario) took part in the raising of her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline Hennessy is her identical twin sister. Jacqueline is an editor for a magazine in Canada. Hennessy is of Irish, French and Swedish origin, and has Ukrainian Roma and Austrian ancestry. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She was a busker in Toronto's subway. Hennessy and her sister were the first to appear as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress chosen to play the part, claimed that she was shortlisted to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role lasted for three seasons before she quit the show in 1996.
