Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. Her career began in productions for television and film such as
"Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Then, she
created such projects as Double Dare (1976). She has also been featured on TV
programs such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and
Electra Woman (2000). Her most famous TV performance was as "Christine
Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). From 1984 until 1992, she was a part of
156 shows. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She was an accomplished
poet and nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918-April 7,
2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on
March 30 90), were her second wedding to Michael A. Ross. Born in Palo Alto in
California and was raised in Walnut Creek. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High
School, Walnut Creek, California. Received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Lewis
& Clark College in Portland Oregon. She was a trick roper in The Wildest
West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were later returned home to Michael A.
Ross, her husband. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post passed away on 7
August 2021, just three months from what would have been her 71st birthday on
November 4. She passed away just 27 days after her fellow Night Court (1984)
co-star Charles Robinson, who passed away on July 11, 2021. While the two shows
were not related, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine
Sullivan's character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), began
with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992),
and later she moved to a more secluded area after her time in Washington DC.
