Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976
in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her
father. Sarah is the middle child. She has an older sister, Natasha Chalke and
one younger sister, Piper Chalke. Sarah's first acting role was in City Boy
(1992), a movie made for TV. Following her debut film she auditioned for the
role as Becky in Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was in search of an
alternative to Alicia Goranson, who left the show to attend college. Sarah
completed her high school degree in 1995, while filming the 1994-1995 Roseanne
(1988) season. Sarah also appeared with Jim Varney (1994) in Ernest Goes to
School (1994). She was in Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against
Fear(1996). In these films she played the part of Krista Wilson and was a
cheerleader. In 1998, just a year after Roseanne (1988) was finished, Sarah was
asked to be a part of a show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998). It
was based on the show the show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah also
participated in the show. In 1993 Sarah took over Becky's part on Roseanne
(1988). She said she wanted to quit acting and go to college. 2001 (1993-1997)
She was Sara Gilbert's older sister in Roseanne (1988) however, she is actually
younger. She attended the 1999 CCMA award ceremony, and presented an award to
the most successful single of the year. September 1999: Appeared at the age of
8 in Vancouver's stage productions. The actress is fluent in French, German and
Spanish. She works in a hospice that caters to sick children and also works for
the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke enjoys cooking with her friends,
especially Thai as well as sushi and playing guitar. She also likes to ski (she
is an instructor) kayaking, snowboarding, kayaking, and reading. Her father is
a lawyer, and her parents are mediators. They also operate a child adoption
agency. Her parents accompanied her to China two years ago to help coordinate
the adoptions of a lot of orphans.
