Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Mixett is an Canadian actress who is famous for her appearances in films like Apartment Hunting, â€Men with Brooms, and'The Tree of Life. She was born in Spalding (Saskatchewan) and then relocated to Alberta, Canada where she graduated from high school. In her teens, she became attracted to acting. She attended the Montreal's National Theatre School and then went on to the Moscow Theatre School for further training. She made her television debut in 1996, playing a supporting role in the Canadian show titled 'The Rez.' Also, she appeared on shows like Ready or Not' and Forever Knight' that year. She also made her film debut in the latter part of 1990 with the film titled 'Papertrail' and later acted in films like 'Men with Brooms' and 'Cypher.' She also was a supporting character in television series' like "A Nero Wolfe Mystery' and  Blue Murder.' While she continued to appear in films throughout the decade however, her appearances in films were fewer compared to the roles she played on television. She was also the main actress in 1998's Canadian drama series called 'Power Play. The series was a total of 26 episodes, and earned both commercial and critical praise. In recognition of her role in the series she was nominated for the Gemini Award. Jude Lyon Matchett became her first child in June 2013. However, she didn't reveal the name of her son’s father. According to some reports, the father of her boy is her former boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke in the mid-1990s and the couple began dating and were married in 1998. The couple divorced in 2006 following their marriage broke in the middle of the year.
