Yvonne Joyce Craig
Yvonne Joyce Craig (May 16, 1936 - - August 17 15th, 2015), was an American dancer, dancer, and choreographer. Her most famous work is for her appearances in Batman's series of the 1960s on TV Batman and Marta who played an Orion slave girl with green skin, from Star Trek's 1969 episode "Whom Gods Destruction". The Huffington Post called her "a pioneer in female superheroes" for television. Yvonne Craig was born in Taylorville, Illinois, and was raised in Columbus, Ohio. In 1951, her family relocated to the Oak Cliff neighborhood in Dallas, Texas, where she went to W. H. Adamson High School and then Sunset High School, from which she was not able to be able to graduate due to the absence of "a single PE credit". Craig was accepted into Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo as the young ballerina from the youngest corps after being noticed by Alexandra Danilova who is a dancer and instructor.
