American actress Emily Swallow was born December 18 1979. Her performances on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most popular. She also appeared as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and played a small role as Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th 1979. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. While attending Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began acting in various college, amateur professional and professional theatre productions. She graduated in 2001 with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and afterward, she pursued an MFA in Acting from the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.Swallow began her professional career on Broadway theatre which she acted in various productions, including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off Broadway productions Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She was a star in the world premiere of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. Also, she starred alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkinsin the production of Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. Swallow won the Falstaff Award for best Female performer in the year 2010 for her performance in Kate in The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman created an original stage show titled Jac N Swallow in which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show revolves around the hilarious mishaps of Jac Huberman and her friend Swallow who face a myriad of situations in their lives, with the same degree of difficulty.
