Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8, 1985) is a Canadian actor from Canada. She is best known for her role in the role of Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand on the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) on the science fiction series Continuum. Recently, she was featured as Sandy on the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for one year in her ninth grade. She was raised there by her uncle, and she attended Jelenia Gora School. She later studied at Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became interested in acting. In 2002, she made her first appearances in the TV series Jeremiah. She was also a guest on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she played acting in the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she starred as Andy Jensen on Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to portray Lacy Rand in Caprica's telecast drama featuring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. Hellcats was her following film. In 2012, she was cast as Emily in Jane Espenson's second series of her web-based romantic comedy series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the character as Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. The Green Inferno, although it was shot in 2012, was released in the world in 2015.
