Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress. She has been awarded an Empire
Award and been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics' Choice Awards, and
two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading, Berkshire. She
gained notoriety as Anne Boleyn. A role she played on the Showtime series The
Tudors (2008), which earned her widespread acclaim. Her stage debut came with
Sweet Nothings (2010). In Madonna's W.E., she played the character of the Duchess
and York. (2011) as well as Private Lorraine in Captain America: The First
Avenger (2011). After Miss Julie (2012) in the Young Vic, was highly
appreciated. Dormer received worldwide praise and recognition for her
performances as Margaery Tyrell (2012-2016 on HBO) and Cressida (2014-2015 on
The Hunger Games), that are among her most watched films. She also voiced the
role of Onica in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2018), Sara Price Jess
Price in The Forest (2016), and Irene Adler/Moriarty in CBS's Elementary
(2013)-15. She earned praise for her character in the mini-series Penny
Dreadful: City of Angels (2020). Dormer was born 11 February 1982 in Reading,
Berkshire (England) as the daughter of Gary Dormer & Claire Richards.
She is also the sibling of Samantha Dormer and Mark Dormer.
