Rosamund Pike
Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Elizabeth Pike is an actress. She was the only child of a classical violinist mother Caroline (Friend) and an opera singer father Julian Pike. Because of her parents' job, she spent much of her childhood touring around Europe. Pike attended Badminton School in Bristol, England and was a part of the National Youth Theatre. Pike was just 23 years old when she appeared in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then noticed by an agent and signed. The film that she made her debut was a high-budget action film. However, her subsequent films were mostly independent films such as Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). In 2004, she won the award for Best Supporting Actress prize in The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) was a film that featured Pike as one of the Bennet girls.
